
Nick Harvey
Virginia native Nick Harvey completed his master's degree in trumpet performance at the University of North Texas in 2007 under the instruction of Keith Johnson, and a bachelor's in music industry in 2003 at James Madison University, where he studied with James Kluesner. Nick has performed with such groups as the Las Colinas Symphony, the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, the Orchestra of New Spain, the Texas Camerata, as well as an onstage performance with the Dallas Opera in 2007. He has also been playing baroque trumpet since 2000 and cornetto since 2001. In March 2005 he competed in the historic division of the National Trumpet Competition and received the Reiche Award, the highest of three awards. Nick is a staff member at the University of North Texas and continues to be an active freelance musician in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.
