Brandon Potts

Tennessee native Brandon Potts is currently pursuing a Master of Music Performance degree in trumpet from the University of North Texas.  At UNT, he performs with the world renowned Wind Symphony, the 2 O'Clock Lab jazz band, and studies privately with Regents Professor of Trumpet Keith Johnson.  Previously, he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Memphis where he studied with David Spencer and was a finalist in the school's 2004 concerto competition.  In addition to his work with the Bravura Brass, Potts has performed professionally with Ballet Memphis, Producers Musical Company, and The Temptations.

Past appointments includes chairs with the Disneyland All-American College Band and the University of Memphis Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble.  He has also appeared on MSNBC, performing in the 2005 Mississippi Rising telethon, benefiting the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
